I'm sadly no longer offering my services as a freelancer for any prospective clients. The reason for this is actually simple; I'm currently enjoying a lifestyle of fulltime employment (as opposed to freelancing) at iSM, an awesome SEO company. This website will stay live, however it will now take on the role of a portfolio, showcasing all my past personal and professional work, and any future personal websites/designs/apps/misc I create.
Website Update COMPLETE

The new website update is finished. The site now runs considerably faster than it did before and page-loads are down by 65%. To accompany this update, I've changed the layout of the portfolio (again), as well as updated my non-website portfolio and even changed the layout of the News, Contact and Services pages too.

I feel that over the past year my web design (and especially development + project management) skills have greatly improved. As such, I've decided to strip out the old 'bulky' code and completely rewrite everything from the HTML and CSS, to the PHP and MySQL back-end of the website. I've learned a lot over this past year and I want these new found skills to be reflected in my website.

It's been a busy 5 months since I last updated this page, and this update won't really affect visitors either. I have updated my websites Content Management System to my hand coded, feature-laden AdminCMS.

I've changed the way visitors can view my past portfolio. With the help of a great little bit of JavaScrpt (LiteBox by DoKnowEvil.net), you can quickly and easily view a larger image of each seperate project
New Administrative Area

Whilst it doesn't really affect visitors, the new admin area makes my job of updating the site a million times easier. Using a hand-coded content management system, I can change any aspect of the site's content that I wish too, at the touch of a button.
New Client Area

As of today, any new clients will now have access to a secure area, where they can view the progress of their projects development upon request. This area can be set up to allow for version viewing, rating and commenting. I'm hoping to expand on this in the future, and ultimately create the best user-friendly area for all clients possible.

To coincide with the brand new look of the site, I've decided to move it to a faster, more reliable server. This major decision won't come into play for around 2 months but when it does, expect lightning fast page-loads and some cool new features.

After many hours of coding and constant validation, bug searching, testing and designing; version 3 of K-Innes Web Designs is finally live and kicking! Many of you who have visited the site before will know how bland version 1 was, and how 'bulky' (blame the badly-coded javascript) version 2 was...Well, I've got rid of the blandness and the bulk of the website, leaving behind a very clean, table-less XHTML Strict and CSS 2.0 validated, and stylish website.
